Abandoned Wells Declaration Form

The Subdivision and Development Regulations of the Municipal Government Act requires developers and property owners to identify the location of abandoned oil and gas wells within the proposed development when applying for a subdivision or development permit. They are further required to appropriately address them in accordance with the Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) Directive 079: Surface Development in Proximity to Abandoned Wells.

By entering your name in the Applicant’s Signature box you are declaring that you have reviewed the abandoned well map for the Site of the proposed subdivision or development, attached a print out of the abandoned wells map with your application and completed Section 1 or 2 (as applicable) of the Abandoned Wells Declaration form.
